Greetings, dear Max, from Argentina.

Someone from my great-grandfather's family (cousins) went to work in silver mines to Argentina.
It is one of my favourite photos from family archives. A photo with part of the letter on the other side. No begining, no end.

Some man (on the first plane) from Haschker family tells his younger cousin (my great-grand father) about Campo Pole - Polish camp, in which he is living for the moment (despite the fact of being German).

The photo is unsigned, but apparently must be dated between 1910 and 1925.
I love that tone of sepia, that shadow of the photographer...

Maybe one day all our numeric stuff will be looked the same way that this ancient photographs...

When you take a picture, you're speaking through the time and the death... But you don't know that yet !

once a modern thing, will look like an old photo. A little bit funny, naive and sentimental. So it's worth thinking about what kind of photo you are taking...

---the great thing about old photos is not only that amazing texture and usually great compositions...but for me they have some kind of mistery, photography always has that because captivating a moment of time but these old photos somehow make me think of all those people who does not exist any more, and those moments of different times than ours... i don't know why i feel this more intense always with old photos than new digital ones...
but this shot is really captivating:D---

I think it's simple. When you had to find a photographer in Argentinian pampas, to make two or three photos for your relatives you haven't seen in months and suppose won't see for several years... When you change everything in your life and the only thing to show this is to take a photo...

Photo, which single would cost a lot, both time and money...

In this case - you would try to make it somehow special. Now deleting images, no cropping, no photoshopping...

norisi įsirėmint ir ant sienos, po to pagalvoju, kad išbluks...
Bet labai mielas atsitiktinis praeities gabalėlis.
